Quite a different year to last year ...... I'm teaching at school one day per week ......
and teaching at home one day and one night per week .......
..... and for the other three days .......
I've started a Certificate IV in Applied Fashion Design at Hunter TAFE.
AND I'M LOVING IT!!!!!!
Drawing, Block Construction, Computers, Sewing & Cutting, Pattern Modifications ......I'm learning how things are done for the Fashion Industry.
So, I must apologise for ignoring your blogs and/or not leaving comments, and I suspect my blogging time will also be reduced ......
Not sure if I'll have much time for my own sewing, otherwise you can expect more photos of samples!!!! - done on lovely super efficient industrial machines ........ loving it!!!! insert big cheesy grin here
I'm so excited for you! Have fun and keep on enjoying it. Isn't it lovely when you can delve more deeply into something fun and enjoyable?
ReplyDeleteThat sounds very exciting. It is great that you are getting a lot from the course.
ReplyDeleteThanks and yes, so lucky to have the opportunity to study further something that deeply interests me!
ReplyDeleteLucky you. This will be very useful professional learning for you.
ReplyDeleteGo YOU!!! I was just thinking today that you'd been a bit quiet. Didn;t know you were so busy!
ReplyDeleteThanks again! The 3 days are very full and long days - which is good really, so yeah, busy but very fulfilling, it takes a while to get used to such a full week, as compared to last year where I cruised along - great freedom but no real focus!!
ReplyDeleteOoo - fantastic - so jealous I'm just doing a online course from Susan Khaljie on sewing a couture dress and am absolutely hooked on the process. Also off to do a commercial pattern fitting course next month. Looking forward to hearing about things when you have time.
ReplyDeleteWow you have changed the beat this year look forward to hearing all the goodies from your course.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to divide up the week, half working and the other half studying. Sounds ideal.
ReplyDeleteSounds Awesome! I hope you will share some of your new tips, tricks and insights with us!
ReplyDeleteThat's great news! Enjoy your studies, and I'm sure you'll be back with even bigger and better projects.
ReplyDeleteYeah, thanks again, I was thinking I could do a regular update .... "What I did at TAFE this week"!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Gay, just letting you know I've nominated you for the Leibster Blog Award :) Looking forward to your TAFE updates and I hope to get back to your class from time to time.
ReplyDeleteSounds great - great to be so busy doing stuff you love! Enjoy yourself!
