New Look 6948 - OR - Why I'm glad I have a teenage daughter.....

This was my one last piece of warm weather sewing for the season. Shannon did a couple of great versions of this. I did View A and cut a size 12. Fabric is a gorgeous soft knit from Martin & Savage Fabrics (Lonsdale Mini Stripe 60% Polyester, 32% Viscose, 8% Spandex). Super quick and easy to make. It fitted me well at the bodice, but hugged my bum in a less than flattering way.
Enter a teenage daughter - ahh, better. Then after these photos were taken 5 cm was taken off the hem - but I bet you knew that would happen!!!

  1. Your model is looking lovely in the outfit. I have often liked that style of top but did wonder if I would always be asking the question 'does my bum look big in this?'.

  4. I have two teenager daughters with same useful purpose - wearing things I've become too stout for.
